Various security needs are met by chain link fence, from simple pet containment to the heavy duty industrial facility requirements. The options allow for customizing the selection of materials to compliment the project.

What makes our steel pipe framework different:
• All materials are hot-dipped galvanized, inside and out, with a zinc coating of 1.8 ounces per square foot, meeting the standards of the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) F1043 Type A.

• All vinyl coated pipe is finished by the thermal fusion process with a 10 to 14 mil thick vinyl coating, meeting the standards of ASTM F1043-00.

	What this means to you: Our pipe is thicker and heavy duty; designed for maximum service life.

PROTECTIVE COATING	Amount of coating
	All materials are hot-dipped galvanized, inside and out, with a zinc coating of 1.8 ounces / ft², meeting the standards of ASTM F1043 Type A.	Materials are zinc coated on the outside (zinc coat is up to 0.9 ounces / ft²), plus a secondary clear plastic film to protect the more fragile zinc. The inside is sprayed with a zinc rich spray.
	Process Information
	The articles are immersed in a bath of molten zinc at between 815-850 F. During galvanizing, the zinc metallurgically bonds to the steel, creating a series of highly abrasion-resistant zinc-iron alloy layers, commonly topped by a layer of impact resistant pure zinc. The bond that is created between the zinc and the steel has a strength of approximately 3600 psi.	The zinc coating on outside of pipe does not have the "bond" that results from immersion, due to limited metallurgical reaction between the zinc and the steel. In reference to the inside surface of the pipe, there is no metallurgical reaction when zinc-rich paints are applied and the adherence strength is only several hundred psi.
	Effectiveness of coating against corrosion
	The service life of the protective zinc coating on our product will last more than twice that of our competitor's dissimilar product. The ASTM and the American Galvanizers Association both state that the "Service life of the hot-dip galvanized coating is directly proportional to the thickness of the coating".
	What this means to you: In our New England environment, weather extremities, moisture and salt air all contribute to form a very corrosive environment. Our pipe has been selected to far outlast all others not meeting our specifications.

Security needs are never ordinary. Each setting and requirement must be evaluated based on the need. For a non-intrusive look, we recommend our black vinyl coated chain link fence systems.

Using top and bottom tension cable construction lessens the visual impact of the fence and allows it to disappear into the landscape without sacrifice to security.
